J’s team was fairly priced and was almost immediately available to start work. He put in a large blue stone patio with fire pit and added gravel to parts of the yard that we no longer wanted grass in. He was carful when excavating and was sure not to damage buried downspouts. The great thing about J’s team is that they are able to make adjustments to the agreed upon plan without much production. Required amendments to the original plan were clearly communicated and justified. J even returned the following year to repair some stones that had settle over winter and to add more loam to part of the yard that did not get good grass growth. I recommend using J if you are looking for someone who can guide you through the process of hard scraping and creating a beautiful patio. ~ Calvin P

I would highly recommend Jose for all the services he provides. Jose and his team did an absolutely amazing job on our brand new patio. We had a back porch that was rotting and falling apart and needed to be removed. We also had a hot tub that I thought would complicate things. But when Jose arrived to give us a quote he knew exactly what needed to be done and that's why we hired him. His team deconstructed our porch and made a beautiful patio along with two sets of steps. They also made a support wall to ensure that the steps stay in place. Throughout this whole project, Jose was easily approachable, communicative and friendly. We have had Jose and his team come out and do several jobs for us in the last year and a half, ranging from small (spreading mulch) to large (deck demo and installation of a large patio). Each time we were impressed with the attention to detail and the rapid completion of the work! Jose was very helpful with previous examples of his hardscape work, giving us good design advice while being up-front about costs. After completion of our patio, I contacted him about some minor imperfections and he sent out a team to make the fixes free of charge, which I do not think most contractors would do. Jose Gudiel did an amazing job installing my new back lawn after I had tree work done in the fall. His crew showed up on time when Jose said they would, worked extremely hard and efficiently and they left me with a beautiful new back yard that came out looking exactly how I wanted it to look. We had a fantastic experience working with J Gudiel Landscaping. From the beginning, their team was extremely diligent and communicative, keeping us updated every step of the way and always making sure our questions were answered promptly. They were especially thoughtful in how they handled the front walkway, which had a challenging grade and water drainage situation. Recently had an area graded and leveled and a gravel pad with a timber frame installed for a future shed. After getting in touch with 6 contractors, getting stood up 4 times for estimates and finally hearing back from 2, I went with Gudiel as he seemed professional and his estimate was reasonable. Jose was great, and although we had to reschedule a few times due to unforeseen circumstances his guys finished the job beautifully and quickly. When he ended up using less timbers than his estimate stated he discounted me the difference with no fuss. This was a great experience. I will definitely use Gudiel again. ~ Jason R

I highly recommend Jose and his crew. We had them do a HUGE job. They ripped out our in ground pool which was surrounded by concrete and a fence, plus existing patio and retaining wall. Then they added a new stone retaining wall, stone steps, new paved walkway and patio, pea gravel area, transplanted tons of plants from around the yard and planted a bunch of new plants. Hire Jose and team to redo large (1600 sq ft) paver patio after we purchased a home and had some significant non-disclosure issues. At the same time the patio was replaced, the team installed all new gutter drainage for the entire house. It was excellent working with Jose and his crew - from start to finish. Jose and his team did an amazing job on a very challenging project. Our yard had been flooding horribly and another landscaper had failed to fix the problem. Jose’s team not only resolved out flooding issue, but installed a very large and high quality patio (with fire pit and embedded lights) and refurbished and expanded our deck with TimberTech composite products. I hired Jose to put in 3 walkways, a firepit area, a patio & new front stairs. The work cameout fantastic. He is my goto guy for anything landscape. I hired him for my weekly mowing & at the end of the month he will be installing stone vaneer on my concrete foundation. His workers start early & were pulling 12 hour days overhere making the installation of the patio stone go quickly. Jose (the owner) answered the phone when I called and came out to the house the same day to do the estimate. The price was fair and his guys came out to do the work in less than a week. Jose and his team are excellent! I asked for a spring cleanup and for some grass seeding on an area of my lawn. He worked with me on what we could afford and scheduled us in right away. When the rain pushed back his job schedule, he and his team were incredible and worked late to come get our job done. The quality was as if we were the only job of the day - they went above and beyond and took care of some areas that I hadn't even discussed with Jose prior. I contracted with Jose for a large patio, outdoor kitchen and fire pit. He has a crew of very hard workers and they produce quality work. They were super reliable despite numerous weather-related challenges we faced with getting the job done over the winter months.
